Speaker Bios:
Duke Skarda is CTO of SoftLayer. He joined in November 2010 and holds responsibilities for implementing, designing andenhancing the proprietary SoftLayer Infrastructure Management System (IMS). Prior to joining SoftLayer, he served as the VP of IT and Software Development at The Planet. He served in this role from June 2009 to October 2010. Previously, Skarda spent 10 years with Level 3 Communications in a series of increasingly responsible positions. Additionally, he has four years of experience with Sprint.

Marc Jones serves as Vice President of Product Innovation for SoftLayer. In this role, he is responsible for identifying, facilitating and evangelizing new product and service development - including R&D, software development and system development. As an accomplished technology executive, he previously served as director of software product development with Rackspace Cloud (formerly Mosso), the cloud division of Rackspace. He was a key member of the senior leadership team responsible for developing and managing the company's cloud computing product strategy and roadmap, architecture and engineering, business analysis and requirements, along with software product development. Prior to his tenure with Rackspace, Jones was senior director for system architecture with Broadwing Communications.
